Volunteers are expected to play a significant role in the visitor's experience of CARIFESTA X. For this purpose, a coordinating Sub-Committee has been setup with the purpose of managing and coordinating several key activities leading up to, and including, the events of CARIFESTA X. The Volunteers will showcase to the world that Guyana, host of CARIFESTA 72, is once again ready to offer the best in hospitality and a successful CARIFESTA X.

The Chairperson of the Volunteer Programme is Mr. Majeed Hossein, who served in a management capacity of the same programme for ICC CWC 2007. The Volunteers for CARIFESTA X will comprise of, in addition to new volunteers, the volunteers who had put their hands up to provide free, but essential services, for Guyana's hosting of the Super-8 matches of the ICC CWC 2007. The exposure and interactions obtained during the mega event will be of great benefit to the volunteers and visitors alike.

Several job categories will be filled by volunteers, and will include but are not limited to, Information kiosk assistants, ushers, parking attendants and volunteer administration and support assistants.
