The Literary Arts Programme at CARIFESTA XV invites readers, writers, and creatives across the region and diaspora to celebrate the stories that shape us. Rooted in the power of the written and spoken word, the programme offers a vibrant space for connection, performance, reflection, and skill development.

 

From daily readings and author showcases to youth story hours, pop-up bookstores, masterclasses, and interactive challenges, the festival honours the full spectrum of Caribbean literary expression of past, present, and future. Writers of every level will have the opportunity to share their work, sharpen their craft, and engage with audiences in both intimate and public forums.

 

Whether through midday open mics, panel discussions, literary competitions, or hybrid workshops, the programme celebrates our shared Caribbean identity through language and imagination. Anchored by a  formal closing event that pays tribute to regional literary icons while spotlighting emerging voices, this year’s Literary Arts offering is both a homecoming and a launchpad, bridging generations and expanding the reach of Caribbean literature to new audiences around the world.
