Chair of Regional Cultural Committee Calls on Region to Unite in Celebration of Caribbean Roots and Global Excellence

BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS – With a deep sense of pride and humility, the Chair of the Regional Cultural Committee (RCC) Susan Jones-Benjamin in addressing the audience of local and regional media, cultural leaders, and dignitaries said, “We, as heads of delegations and cultural leaders, are preparing with joy and anticipation to embrace this extraordinary regional cultural experience.”

As she reflected on the powerful spirit of unity and celebration that defines the Caribbean Festival of Arts the RCC head added, “CARIFESTA offers a powerful platform to celebrate what connects us — and honour what makes each of us unique.”

CARIFESTA XV will take place in Barbados from August 22 to 31, 2025, under the theme “Caribbean Roots. Global Excellence.” The festival promises a rich and diverse programme showcasing the best of the region in fashion, film, culinary arts, visual and literary arts, craft, music, dance, theatre and more.

Jones-Benjamin extended a warm and heartfelt invitation to Caribbean citizens and global friends alike, “Come to Barbados and experience the energy, the colour, the vigour, and the flavour of our Caribbean brothers and sisters.
