Interest is high in CARIFESTA XV!

Officials of the soon-to-be-staged CARIFESTA XV in Barbados are gratified by the overwhelming show of support of the regional festival by Barbadians. 

There was a call for volunteers with the hope of reaching 350 persons, however given the tremendous response, the Secretariat expanded the number to 400 and now registration is closed.

Furthermore, of the 350 spaces allocated at the Grand Market at Waterford Place with just under a month to go, all 350 spaces have been subscribed.  Registration for the Grand Market is now closed.

Local Media Relations & Communications Coordinator Jewel Forde said, “That these areas are oversubscribed speaks volumes about the interest and excitement of Barbadians in CARIFESTA.  We are looking forward to utilising the volunteers across all areas of the festival and driving economic opportunities for locals and regional participants at the Grand Market.”
