Next on stage was the Jackie Opel Trust, delivering a soul-stirring tribute to the Barbadian legend in honour of Jackie Opel Day. Their performance, a string of his iconic hits, was accompanied by reflections on his international influence. The moment when it was shared that reggae icon Bob Marley publicly acknowledged Jackie Opel's influence on his own sound was particularly emotional, serving as a powerful reminder of Barbados' imprint on global music.
