Draped in a sea of blue, gold, and green, the Grand Market stage at CARIFESTA XV came alive Thursday night as St. Vincent and the Grenadines delivered a soul-stirring performance blending music, dance, and drama — a vivid tribute to the nation's rich history of resistance, resilience, and cultural pride.

The performers on stage alternated between actors representing the country's history and singers and dancers who continued the story in a more lively fashion. This method ensured that the performance was still informative, teaching about the country's slave resistance and historical figures, while captivating the audience for those who are lovers of theatre along with the laymen observer.

The performances included ‘Big Drum’ during which drums were played and dancers in large skirts danced with so much laughter and enjoyment. Vincy calypso and social commentary was also showcased with the message of remembering that Vincy ancestors and traditions came from Africa.

The delegation also put young talent on display. The young singers hit every note with the high energy pieces getting audience members to wave their hands and flags.

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines country night spoke on the region's shared history of slavery and journey to freedom while showcasing the modern Caribbean's culture of carnival and love of music.
